Buttery, flakey pastries are easy to come by in Berlin. There are bakeries in the uBahn stations, at most grocery stores and then stand alone on seemingly every other block. This morning I ran out and found these delicious ones: Apfeltusche (Apple pocket), Rosinenschencke (raisin swirl), and a butter croissant for €2.50. That's the other great thing - they are cheap! I do miss Cafe Besalu in Ballard but these are pretty darn good.
