Milk on the Cobbles (a parental version of Blood on the Tracks)

Guest photographer: jasper.

Daddy and mommy enjoying a dinner drink on the square in Leipzig, an ancient trade town in Saxony. Fountain bubbles tranquilly behind them. Sunlight plays on the facades. Birds chirp happily.

Not content with the rare moment of peace shared by the family, (or potentially it is just bad parenting to put Cody at a table in this setting and expect peace), Cody lunges across the table in a freak and largely inexplicable outburst of "boy energy." He dumps his tall glass of milk over everything. Chairs scape on cobbles, a small milk wave rushes menacingly across the table towards everyone's laps, and the loud "Ding" of glass on table announces the spill to fellow diners nearby. We run for napkins.

But in the first moment, Jasper has deftly captured his parents' separate reactions to food-based disasters in their marriage:

Anyway, here's the altstadt square. Building with the orange roof houses the Arabischer Kaffee Baum: Europe's oldest coffee house.
