You can wander through Berlin's Tiergarten (its answer to NYC's Central Park) on various paths that wind around rivers and lakes. Historically it was used as a private hunting ground for the Prussian princes. Scattered throughout are these life-like and imposing statues.
Like with most monuments in Berlin, you can still see the scars of the last battle between the Germans and the Russians in 1945:
